Well, folks...it's my turn once again to have a spot as a guest blogger for Rhodes. This has been a fun experience, not only because I already love the Rhodes family of Bake-N-Serv products, but because it encourages me to experiment with recipes in their cookbooks. This month I chose to make Chili Cheese Rolls, and I must say they were a hit!
Head on over to the Rhodes blog to see step-by-step directions on how to make these savory meals-in-a-bun! But before you go, I want you to know that I'm having a "Home Baked Family Favorites with Frozen Dough" cookbook give-away, courtesy of Rhodes. Here's what you need to do:
Visit the Rhodes Blog and leave a comment. Next, come back here and leave a comment...that's two chances. For a third chance, you can also go to the Rhodes Facebook, "Like" Rhodes and leave a comment. Each comment will get your "name in the hat" for an extra chance to win - one comment per visitor per site, please. The contest will go until noon on Saturday, February 25th, 2012 and the winner will be announced later that Saturday evening.
Thanks for stopping by!
Yes please! These rolls sound delicious and easy enough for me to make. Possibly.

Absolutely easy! And so yummy, too. The longest part is getting the rolls thawed. It can be tricky depending on how warm your kitchen is and how long it takes for your dough to rise, but the rest is a piece of cake...maybe bread would be more accurate!

They were delicious! I am thinking about one with peanut butter and jelly, or eggs for a breakfast one...Oh the possibilities. Okay now I am hungry!

So you know how I feel about chili...what can I substitute it with? Ha ha! But really what?

I think the breakfast one sounds great. The peanut butter and jelly one sounds messy to execute, but heck...go for it and let me know how it turns out!

I think Megan has a great idea with the breakfast stuff. I would scramble the eggs first and then you can include other omelette favorites, like cheese, grilled veggies, sausage or bacon. Just keep in mind that you only use a small amount of the filling. Another idea is taco meat with a little salsa and cheese. Let me know what you try and how it turns out!

Those look and sound so yummy. I bet Matt would be ok to be a taste tester if I wanted to try other fillings too. I think breakfast ones sound great as well. Maybe little hamburger bites or a little smokie inside like a mini corn dog type of thing. You could dip them in ketchup. I will have to go buy some dough and put it on my menu.

I have made "pigs in a blanket"...maybe ours should be considered "turkeys in a blanket because of the content of our hot dogs...they are quite tasty. Just roll out the room temp rolls (it might take 1 1/2 or 2 rolls, depending on the size of the hot dog) wrap and bake...not sure about the time, but probably not more than 20 minutes. Just keep your eye on them. If you want to do the little smokies will definitely take less than a whole roll. Sounds delish!
